It was the roar of the crowd that made it heartache to sing...

I got a squishy house! hehehe...freebie from the competition btw!

Well i've done the public speaking thing, i did it a lot better this year than i did last year but really havn't got the hang of the whole "this is soo fake!" competition style yet. The girl that won put on this totally fake voice and her speech was done so incredibly slowly that you could hear every single little syl-lab-le. It was something that in real life you could never stand to listen to, if someone was doing a talk in that voice you'd seriously want to murder them...but yet she won...

Odd but i guess it's like in debating competitions where everything is formal and it's hardly a proper debate where you're arguing...i'd love to see a real debate, like the ones you sometimes see going on in the Prime Minister's question time.

Charlotte Gregory, a girl from the year below in my school came 2nd, her speech was good and i think she did deserve that place. However the girl that came 3rd did not deserve it at all! I was shocked when they said she was in that place! She spoke soo soo incredibly fast that it was actually ridiculous!...ah well...it's not like she got anything for it so meh...

I asked the lady for some feedback at the end...she said i had a musical voice :S not too sure what to make of that but she also said that i spoke to fast...i know i did not speak as fast as teh 3rd place girl, so can she really pick on that? Mrs Beanie said that none of us spoke as fast as her. Ah well..will move on to something more cheerful or else i'm just going to rant until i have to go to bed!

Went to the Somme Centre for a day of history lectures...ended up wondering if this is what university life is like...was rather put of it by the thought... The actual day of lectures was not too exciting, although on the way home me and emma got out the music and started getting really into My Chemical Romance...Welcome to the Black Parade involved singing (silently so don't fear) and the air guitar at the riff..hehe it was a way to brighten up the day!
On the way there, in Holywood we noticed the strange pencil/icecream/blob thing that was painted on the wall and made to look like it was coming out of it just before Rockport...it was very random but rather interesting trying to figure out what it was...Tamsin told me about it before but she said it was a pencil, i thought it more icecream shaped...look out for it if you're ever heading down that way...

Last Sunday i was up at the Burn, which is where my darling horsie Ambro is staying right now. Emma Prince was up with her friend Sarah and we took mine and her horse down the outdoor, in the cold and drizzly rain for a ride. It was great fun. Near the end of our ride Sarah was cantering Bailey (Emma's horse) around and i decided to let Ambro to go too, so of we went and he dashed on past her and flew around the arena, it was class! We decided to have an actual race on the other rein but i thought it'd be a bit dangerous to try and overtake each other, so i just let her go first and followed behind, it was tres fun! I have video footage if anyone wants to see us in action! lol

English cw is needing to be completed this weekend but there isn't too much left to do, so it'll all be grand. I wrote my own question, so i'm just hoping that it'll turn out ok once i've handed it in..i guess i'll find out by the amount of red pen i have on the paper!

Anyone ever seen les miserables? or even know what the story is about?
Seriously go and watch the movie of it, not the musical, just the film. The first time i saw it, i actually think my jaw dropped when i saw Marius...ahh :).... ahem but yes, amazing story. Combines treachery, revouloution and romance! What more could you ask for! Ohh and not to forget an amazing cast; Geoffrey Rush, Liam Neeson, Clarie Danes, Uma Thurman and Hans Matheson. Hmm i wonder if i can get a picture of Hans up here to show you all..as Marius of course, that's when he looks hottest...

Going to go now so ttyls!

Over and out!
