Last chance to lose control..

Ahh well finally i have got round to actually doing my post. I think i came in here an hour ago or so to start it...got distracted my bebo and emails and stuff, also msn... Yesterday i sat in here for ages with this window open meaning to make a post but there were so many people online that it was pretty impossible. It was odd that everyone was on at that time.

Anyway to the point. I actually only have two days (was about to write years there, dear help us all if it were) of exams left! RE and chemistry for those of you who don't know. I've now said goodbye to physics and all the horrors that come with it...those bloody equations is all that needs to be said really. The paper today was horrific...i really did not like it at all...i prefered the first paper but no one else seemed to. Maybe that was because the first paper i learnt everything so well for and then thought it would be really deadly that it wasn't...then the second paper i though meh and didn't learn my things as well as i probably could have and thought the paper would be as good as the last one...turns out i was wrong both times...

RE should hopefully be not too bad. Writing the bible story will be simple but it's part B and C that worry me a bit. There was a question on our mock that was kinda hard to write about "You have to believe in life after death to be a christian". For a non-christian writing that it may have been harder...i think i did ok in it but i had to say that atheists would disagree with it just because i couldn't think of anything else cause there's no way any Christians would disagree with the statement...they may have to look at their faith again if they did.
It's really is strange that they call it religous education when it's not, it's just Christianity. People complain about there being so much racial discriminonation and all this prejudice going on in the world...but maybe that's just because there's just a lack of understanding. I only realised the other day that Muslims worship the same God that Christians and Jews do...why didn't i know that before? Because it's never explained to us..noone knows what other faiths are about and those that do know a bit, it's probably not in much depth, unless of course that was their religion.

Another thing i just remembered...the argument that was in France a while ago. So the French have this law where people aren't allowed to go around wearing religous signs, it makes sense because it stops any discrimonation in that area if people don't know what religion others are. The main religion in France used to be Christianity anyway.
But then all these foreigners started to come into the country, of course that in itself isn't too big a deal at all, people emmigrate all the time. But the problem came when the Muslims for example started to get all worked up about the law. Though what right did they have to speak against the law? I see no harm in people moving countries but when they go to another one and hten start trying to change the laws, that's just wrong!
Like in lifeskills last year, we had this big discussion about this sort of thing and that came up. There was something else i heard. A place in England banned the selling of Christmas cards and the tree wasn't allowed to go up in the town centre of something because it was against what all these other people believed. I really thought that was wrong...what was a tradition and cultural festival of that country for so long was being abolished! What if that sort of thing starts to spread around the world and counties begin to lose their individuality? There are no difference of culture things to celebrate because people start to complain and little by little different festivals are done away with until everywhere is just the same!

I've just remembered another issue we spoke on. It was about squatter's rights. So say you own a piece of land and it's maybe left alone for a certain time, prehaps you were going to build on it or something but need some time to get stuff together. Traveller's or some other people move on to the land and set up lodgings. If they're there, undisturbed for a certain amount of time, they can claim squatter's rights and take the land! I really just think that that's crazy...that people can lose something like that.
Also the sort of crazy things that people get sued for and lose lots of money. Like this man was getting sick of being burgled so he set up a trap...robber got injured and sued the man...i fail to see how he could actully win, you'd think he'd be stuck in prison for just amitting he was commiting a crime! But no! The man has the pay the thief compensation when it was his house and the thief had absolutely no right to be there!

Hmm...i actually don't know what sort of crap i have written in this post and am feeling way to lazy right now to go back and proof read it so there you go, it's finally finished.

Over and out!

Didn't do Lifeskills last year...

:(

But at least I got exchange trips :D

Oh yes, R.E Friday (not the exam), apparently it's going to rain...

:(

Well, about people suing for ridiculous reasons; we are supposed to be in an era of compensation culture.

It's drawing the fine line between tolerance and being imposed on.

It's an interesting topic of debate, which means I won't even start.
